Mini Project #3 - Adam Crystal

When keeping a log about fame and celebrity and then going back and reviewing it I realized that outside of the fame class that I don't really talk about fame and celebrities that much. Maybe it's because this whole week has been real hectic with lacrosse and everything but the topic of fame or celebrity. I don't watch a whole lot of television that talk about this type of stuff and don't really read or look at the celebrity blogs or anything. I was surprised though with the fact one of the things that was in my log was a little bit about American Idol. I never watch the show but I found myself trying to find out who got eliminated from the show. It was weird because I don't even know who these people are but I was caring who was staying and who was going. American Idol was mentioned during two separate days in my log and besides lacrosse that was the thing that was most talked about in my log, which was really surprising. The show was really the only thing that was mentioned that had to do with celebrity or fame at all as everything else was school related or about my friends or family. So that whole thing was pretty surprising. While keeping the log I found myself looking for celebrity events or anything fame-related to talk about and put down in the log. It was weird because I was looking and kind of trying to force things into the log. That kind of surprised me too. A lot of the stuff in the log was just talking about shows like Entourage with my roommates and how cool that life would be or about what was going to happen next with the Sopranos, stuff like that. The thing that I guess was most evident in the log was talking about the celebrity and/or fame lifestyle. Just the way some of these people live and what they have is what I talked about a lot and what came through in the log. For the most part, if I kept a log at all times that would be what would be mentioned the most along with the big celebrity story going on at that time but the celebrity lifestyle is what was most prevalent in the log and would be the most prevalent if the log continued.
